Join APC, get pardon, Oshiomhole woos PDP, other oppositions

Ahead of February general elections, Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday wooed alleged corrupt members of the opposition parties to join the ruling party and get pardon.

The APC chairman stated this during the party’s presidential campaign rally held in Benin City, Edo State capital, stressing that any member of the opposition  parties that muster courage to defect to the APC stands pardoned of any corruption charges.

Oshiomhole, a former Edo governor while receiving some members of the PDP that defectors to the APC happily read out their names to President Mohammadu Buhari and assured them that they would not be prosecuted for any “corruption” if they decamped to the ruling party.

Elated Oshiomhole said: “we have some PDP defectors. They are Henry Tenebe, Iluobe…. Iluobe means ‘I have done something wrong’. Yes, once you join the APC, your sins are forgiven,” he boasted.

Oshiomhole, however, admonished the people to vote President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC candidates at the 2019 polls.

The APC chairman stated that  Buhari has implemented the school feeding programmes, Npower and market money for the betterment of the citizenry.

Continuing, Oshiomhole said: the destiny of our people is in their hands.

“At the beginning, we were in the opposition. I am happy that today we control the local, state government and federal government. And God giving us victory, we will control the federal government in the next four years.

“The assurance I want to give you is that those battles we use to fight when PDP orders the arrest of our youth leaders with uniform men is over.”

President Buhari in his address said his administration is doing its best to get suspected looters successfully prosecuted in courts.

He urged the people to elect all APC candidates “from bottom to top.”
