APC brought prosperity, not hunger – BSO

The President Mohammadu Buhari administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has brought prosperity to the nation, not hunger as claimed by critics of the government, the Niger state coordinator of the Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) Alhaji Shuaibu  Umar has said.

Umar stated this yesterday while addressing journalists at the end of 1m man match in support of President Buhari held in Minna.

He argued that the federal government has ensured tremendous improvement in the agricultural sector so much that the nation has moved from food importation to exportation.

He said: “Nigeria is now the leading country in the production of rice contrary to the situation where the nation depended on importation of rice to survive. The nation can now feed itself adequately and this has brought prosperity to our people”.

He said the postponement of the election last Saturday was unfortunate, adding that it has however not dampened the enthusiasm of APC supporters to vote for the re-election of President Buhari tomorrow.

He said, “you have seen the crowd that welcomed our President during the campaign tour in various parts of the country. We did not rent the crowd, President Buhari did not use money to hire the crowd and yet they turned out in their numbers. It is a clear demonstration that Buhari is going to win the election. In fact if INEC had not shifted the poll, by now we would have been celebrating”.

He called on the people of Niger state to come out to cast their votes without fear, adding that people should avoid acts capable of disrupting peace and order in the state
