Zamfara deputy Gov commends security agencies for peaceful election

The Zamfara state Deputy Governor, Malam Ibrahim Wakkala, has lauded the efforts and commitments put in place by the security agencies in ensuring peaceful election across the state.

Malam Ibrahim made the commendation while answering questions from Journalists in Gusau Saturday shortly after he cast his vote.

He described the efforts of the Nigeria Army, Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other paramilitary agencies during the governorship and states assembly election across the state as commendable.

“The security agencies played a vital role despite the security challenges we are currently facing from the activities of armed bandits, particularly by exhibiting nonpartisan and neutrality operations and monitoring of today’s governorship and state election so I must praise them in that directions”. Wakkala said.

He also applauded the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, for dispatching adequate sensitive elections materials on time to all 14 local government areas, wards and polling units across the state.

He appealed to the entire people of the state to remain calm and obey law and order to enable INEC completed the election in a decorum manner.
