Yobe: Nangere LG chair lauds Buni on youth empowerment, grassroots development 

 

The chairman caretaker management committee, Nangere local government area, Alhaji Salisu Yarima, has commended Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni for his initiation of people oriented programmes aimed at making the youth in the state self-reliant.

The council boss said, Mai Mala Buni, who is a visionary leader, has empowered the less privileged, orphans and employed youth with programmes and skills across Nangere local government area of the state.

Yarima disclosed that, apart from the empowerment programme, Governor Buni has also provided education facilities for both primary and secondary school levels to enable the children to compete with others.

He noted that Governor Buni also renovated schools in various sub-towns and villages, provided desks and chairs in primary and secondary schools as well as employed more  qualified teachers with degrees and NCE certificates for the children to compete favourably with others, nationally and internationally.

In his words: “Governor Buni provided portable water supply through repairs and maintenance of boreholes in all districts and villages in Nangere local government area.

“In the area of the security the governor procured vehicles & securities gadgets to security agencies for securing the lives & properties of the people in Nangere respectively.”

He called on the youth of the local government area to shun drugs and to always respect constituted authorities as well as the elders in their communities.

The caretaker chairman also commended the federal government on the establishment of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) and Multi sectoral Crises Recovery Project (MCRP), adding that the establishment of these commissions  would make more youths to have access to something doing in order to better their lives and that of their communities.
