Yobe approves N2bn for GAAT Hotel, others

Yobe state executive council meeting presided over by Governor Ibrahim Gaidam yesterday approved capital projects to the tune of N1, 966,513,142. Addressing journalists after the meeting, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Mala Musti, said the sum of N578, 161,010.03 was approved for the purchase of GAAT Hotel in Damaturu. The Council also ratified the approval for the supply of 14-number Toyota Hirlux at the cost of N245, 000,000, ratifying the approval of three-number four-bedroom VIP Guest Chalets at the Government House at the cost of N126, 714,147. It further approved the ratification of counterpart contribution for health infrastructure development towards the implementation of SDGs conditional grants scheme to the tune of N250, 000,000. Others were N369, 910,405.71 for the rehabilitation of Ngibi Bridge along Bara – Teteba – Gulani road in Gulani local government area. In order to construct roads and concrete drainage at Buhari Estate Damaturu, the sum of N396, 727,580 was also approved the Council.
