A Nigerian man identified as Ike Ihiala on Friday promised to pay the monthly fee of the Twitter verification badge for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.
This came after the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Twitter, Elon Musk, deactivated blue thick verification due to subscription fee on Thursday.
Reacting to the development, Ihiala said he was willing to pay for Obi’s monthly subscription since his account blue think was yanked off by Twitter.
He wrote, “Since @elonmusk is personally paying for the @TwitterBlue Verification Badge of at least three celebrities, I’ll pay for the restoration/monthly subscription of the Verification Badge of the People’s President, H.E. @PeterObi.”
