Twin brothers go to jail for allegedly organizing indian hemp carnival in Osun

Osun State Police Command, on Tuesday, arraigned two siblings, Oladosu Taye and Kehinde, the duo of 19-years-old, for organizing India hemp carnival.
The two siblings  were arraigned before Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara along side one Muhammad Jamiyu (20), on four count charge bearing on conspiracy, breach of peace, illicit possession and theft.
The Prosecutor,  Jafani Muslim, an Inspector, told the court that the accused and others at large committed the offense on April 13, at about 9:00 a.m, along Sabo area, Osogbo.
He said the accused conspired among themselves to organise a cannabis sativa festival which led to the breach of peace within the commitment.
He said the accused were arrested with three stolen motorcycles valued N750,000.
He explained that the alleged offense contravened sections 516(A), 249(D), 430(8) and section 383 punishable under section 390 of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11, laws of Osun,  2003.
The three accused person  pleaded not guilty to the four count charges allegations against them by the police.
Their Counsel , Mr Okobie Najite, prayed the court to grant his clients bail in the most liberal terms.
But, the prosecutor objected the oral bail application made by the counsel on the ground that the three accused has no place of abode and source of living.
Magistrate Ayilara, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000  and two sureties each.
Ayilara said the sureties must reside within the court jurisdiction with evidence of tax payments and two passports sized photographs, attached with an affidavit of means.
One of the sureties must be a  landed property and the case was later  adjourned to Jun 1, for hearing.
But, the three accused were unable to perfect their bail conditions and were driven away to Ilesa prison.
