Pandemonium broke at Sabo area, Osogbo, Osun state Friday when Hausa and Yoruba community in the area engaged in fisticuffs.
It was gathered that the crisis was caused by a young ma who just returned from correctional center.
One person has reportedly died in the fracas and some people sustained injuries during the shooting.
A source said some thugs stormed Sabo area on Thursday to hold candle night for one their friends.
It was gathered that the candle night led to crisis and the thugs reportedly attacked residents in the area.
Sources revealed that the thugs allegedly led by the freed inmate, bombarded the area on Friday where one person was shot dead and several others injured.
While some residents stood indoor, some scampered for safety and some people carried carried clubs and cutlasses in self defence.
It was gathered that soldiers were invited to the area when some hoodlums took advantage to loot shops.
