Borno APC chair thumbs up Zulum on infrastructure devt, others

The All Progressives Party (APC) chairman in Borno state, Bello Ayuba, has commended Governor Baba Gana Umara Zulum for his development agenda in the state.

Ayuba, in a statement sent to Blueprint on Friday, said Zulum’s administration had spearheaded infrastructure projects aimed at improving the lives of residents across the state.

“These initiatives include housing development, the construction of major roads such as truck B roads and township roads within the 27 area councils, as well as the landmark flight over bridge in Maiduguri, the state capital,” he said.

He said the governor had prioritised the procurement of security equipment for both formal security agencies and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), adding that the efforts were crucial in combating and eradicating the menace of Boko Haram insurgency in the region.

“Governor Zulum’s administration has demonstrated a commitment to uplifting the vulnerable and less privileged members of society, including orphans. Through targeted interventions, the government aims to alleviate poverty and improve livelihoods across the state.

“In alignment with his vision and mission for the state, Governor Zulum has overseen the development of infrastructure in all 27 area councils, ensuring equitable progress and development throughout Borno state.

“The provision of quality health care services has been a cornerstone of Governor Zulum’s agenda. Efforts to upgrade health centers and expand access to healthcare in local councils and districts have been pivotal in enhancing public health outcomes.”

Ayuba also commended the governor’s visionary leadership style “which is built upon the foundation laid by his predecessor, Vice President Senator Kassim Shettima.”

He urged local council chairmen and party officials to align with the governor’s people-oriented agenda and serve as ambassadors of progress in their respective communities.
