A teacher with a private nursery and primary school in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, identified as Dare, is now in police net for allegedly raping three of his students.
It was gathered that the raped girls were primary five pupils of the nursery school located at Oluyole Estate area of Ibadan and of between the ages 10 and 11years.
Blueprint gathered that the three girls were sexually abused by the randy teacher whenever the school head teacher was not around.
The teacher was said to invite any of the girls into the toilet, allegedly ordered them to put off their pants, apply lubricant and then had sex with them.
The randy teacher said to be father of four was arrested by men of the Oyo state Police command late last week by a member of a Child Protection Group.
Sources close to the private nursery said trouble started for the randy teacher alleged to have been sexually abused the girls since 2013 on a weekly basis when some male students found one of the raped girls crying during which the girl confessed that she was being sexually abused by the teacher with a threat to kill her and the two others if they informed anybody about it.
Irked by the severe caning, the boys were said to have encouraged the raped girls to inform their guardian and a member of the Child Protection Network of their plight after which they headed for Iyaganku police station to report the matter.
Sources said a medical checkup carried out on the girls at the Adeoyo state hospital after the teacher’s arrest revealed that “semen was seen around the vulva. Hymen was not intact.”
Contacted, the Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Olabisi Ilobanafor, confirmed the story and that the teacher had confessed to the crime and would be charged to court after police investigations.
He said: “The teacher has been sleeping with the victims in the school toilet. He has been sleeping with the girls every week since last year 2013.
“When the matter was reported to us, the police went into the matter and our investigation revealed that he has a gel used in lubricating the girls. The girl has been recovered from where he kept it in the school premises. He has been arrested and he will be charged to court but he is still assisting us with our investigation because there is the need for us to know if there are other girls that he has been defiling apart from these two girls.”
