Stop attacking Hausa/Fulani

The recent killing of northerners in southern Nigeria is startling and uncalled for and my worry is what will happen when northerners start to retaliate? It was gathered that ten people were killed and 70 sustained gunshots injuries while 30 northerners declared missing in an attack on Sasha market traders in Akinyele local government area of Oyo state. This is very unfortunate as our people are losing their lives on a daily basis.

The most annoying part is even the security agents solely to protect the lives and properties of the citizens are becoming something else, this is a clear indication that our police officers and other armed forces are incapacitated.

Also, the silence of some of our leaders over the recent attacks launched on northerners shows that Nigeria is at the brink if care is not taken. There’s, therefore, the need for government at all levels not to overlook this issue, because it’s getting out of hand; killing innocent people will never let our country to progress.

Therefore, I want to draw the attention of President Buhari that the primary responsibility of every government is to protect the lives and properties of her citizens. The president should act as matter of utmost urgency for Nigeria to have some peace. Why can’t all hands be on deck at these precarious times and provide a lasting solution to this problem.

Nigerians we are and we are solely responsible for changing the narratives of myriads of problems bedeviling us as a country, no matter how unlimited and that can be done by putting an end to ethnic cleansing.
