A South-South delegate representing the federal government at the on-going National Conference, MS Annkio Briggs, has said that her people from the oil producing states would   not accept any rec  for, saying it was going to be a very difficult thing to sell.
Briggs, who was not allowed to make any contribution to the reports and recommendations of the committee because she is a member, told the conference that she did not sign the report.
Reacting to the development in an interview with Blueprint yesterday said: “Quite honestly, our people want a 100 per cent resource ownership and pay tax to the federal government and every other people that have resources in this country should have a 100 per cent of their resources and pay tax to the federal government.”
“I wrote a minority report and it was suggested that it be rejected and the chairman accepted that but because I did not sign the report I felt that I should be allowed to contribute, the conference should allow my input, especially on derivation with is not in the report”, she said.
