SERVICOM urges improved service delivery by TRCN

The SERVICOM Compact Presidency adjudged the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) with two star, which interpreted to mean fair.

It urged the TRCN to speed up on improving service delivery to both recipients and consumers.

While speaking at the formal presentation of SERVICOM Compliance Evaluation Reports of 19 selected TRCN states offices across the nation Monday, the national coordinator, SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, said the teachers in the rural areas need to meet up professionally with the ones in the urban areas.

“We will want to put on record that, TRCN services has improved over the years, looking back at what teachers use to be, in terms of their licensing, professionalism, having registered great mile stones. However, they’re still areas to be covered in terms of the timeliness and the promised timeline as to the certification process. We need to do more.

“British government is officially requesting teachers from Nigeria. Teachers with certificate and licenses can now go to UK, that is a very good development and it is highly commendable.”
