Salami returns for Supreme Court against DSS

With few days left for this weekend’s encounter in the Nigeria National League (NNL), one of Division A campaigners, Supreme Court FC of Abuja will be boosted by the return of their central defenders, Sunday Salami, when they put DSS of Kaduna on trial on Sunday.
The energetic and reliable defender has been sidelined for several weeks due to prolonged injury before the current season began a month ago.
At the moment, the Abuja-based club have been strategizing to keep their Premier League dream alive with moves to add more effective legs especially at the defence line.

General manager of the club, Tolulope Oguntimehim disclosed that already two towering players have been penciled down from Gombe United and Lobi Stars but are just waiting for clearance to join his team.
Oguntimehim added: “We have been doing the much we can to beef up the team to enable us record better result especially in our away games. More players will soon join the team but two experienced ones have been confirmed. I have told each of the players including the technical crew that everyone needs to brace up to enable us meet the club’s target.
“Nothing will deter us from actualizing our dream of playing in the Premier League.”

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash with DSS, head coach, Henry Haggai, assured: “My boys are in the right frame of mind. Fatigue actually affected them during our last weekend’s match after embarking on a long journey to Adamawa. Already, we have resumed training and so many weaknesses are currently being addressed on.
“One of our strong defenders, Salami, has returned to training and we are still watching to see how fit he is before he can feature for the team.
Returnee Salami, however, said that he cannot wait to return to action as he hoped to regain his full fitness.
