Rivers: EDA, catalyst for developing Evo kingdom – Chituru

  

The President General of Evo Development Association (EDA), Hon. Henso Chituru, has described the umbrella body of the people of Grand Evo kingdom as a catalyst and facilitator of the welfare and development of the people. 

He stated this in his address presented at the EVA dinner/award night ceremony in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.  

He added that the EDA will never lose sight of its purpose, which is not about the funfair but about building up the people out of the dust and dunghill of struggles, poverty and hardship. 

Hon Chitutu commended the award recipients and solicited for their financial support and collaboration to fish out indigent but brilliant sons and daughters of Evo kingdom with a view to supporting in their academic pursuit. 

He charged the youth of Evo kingdom to desist from illicit drugs and focus on self- development, adding that ” the best thing to do is to develop yourself first before you talk about any other person.” 

Also speaking, chairman of the occasion, Chief OCJ Okocha, SAN, who was also an award recipient, lauded EVA for finding him worthy for the award and promised to do more for the growth and upliftment of Evo kingdom. 

Okocha, a former Nigerian Bar Association President (NBA) president, noted that what EDA had done to him was not just an award but honour, which would propel him to contribute his quota to the development and advancement of Evo kingdom.
