Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has ordered arrest of deposed Emir Ado Bayero who arrived the ancient city early Saturday morning.
Alhaji Ado Bayero arrived Kano day after the state government affirmed the House of Assembly bill which abolished establishment of five Emirates in the state.
Fully dressed in his royal apparel, Ado Bayero who arrived Kano airport around 5am on Saturday was besieged by supporters.
Speaking later through his spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in a statement, Governor Yusuf said, “Aminu Ado Bayero’s unprecedented return to Kano is nothing but a move disturb public peace and an attempt to destroy the relative peace the state enjoys.
“Therefore, I have directed the Commissioner of Police in the State to arrest Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, wherever he is seen in the state.”
Already, Emir Lamido Sanusi has been handed his appointment letter signalling his official reinstatement as the Emir of Kano on Friday.
