Residents rescue 5-yr-old girl from suspected child kidnapper

Residents of old barracks field base in Suleja, yesterday rescue a five-year-old, Oluromu Rita from an alleged female kidnapper, who claimed the parents had instructed her to take care of the child on their absence.
An eyewitness, who preferred anonymity, narrated to Blueprint that the crying child attracted the residents in the area and observation were glued on the woman and the child.
“We were wondering why the child, with the mother was crying for over two hours and she cannot console her in a busy road of Sule Barau road, where you have cars, motorcycles and human plying the road.
“We began to trail her, we realised that the woman held the child so tight that the child could be crying for the hands fist on her wrist so tight.
“We were force to interrupt after trailing them for 45 minutes, saying woman so you cannot calm your child from crying and you are on the road, but the child responded ‘I am looking for my mummy”.
“But we were not sure of what she was telling us, so we requested that she should leave the child for a while, immediately she put the child down, she ran to us.
“As we were attending to the little child, the woman suddenly disappeared only God knows where in the mist of crowd, every ones attention were on the child so we did not know when the woman slipped off from the crowd”
However it was gather that Little Rita went out of the compound in search of her mother when the woman saw her and promise to take her to her mother.
