Police burst kidnappers’ hub at Falgore Forest in Kano

Kano state Police Command has said that its anti kidnapping squad had successfully dislodged a notorious abduction hub in Falgores forest, effecting the arrest of 11 suspects in addition to rescuing 10 victims.
Making the disclosure at a press conference in Kano yesterday, the state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Rabiu Yusuf, said the Command’s rejuvenated Anti Kidnapping Squad had on intelligence had on Tuesday 11th October, 2016  launched a major offensive into one of the biggest and notorious criminal Camp inside the Falgore Forest.
According to him, fierce gun duel ensued for almost one hour at the first and second gates before the main Camp was penetrated leading to the arrest of the suspects and the eventual rescue of the abducted victims.
He said some had escaped into the thick forest with bullet wounds during mop-up operations a result of which one Bello Saleh and Mohammmed Sani all of Rafin Kura Village who were abducted on the very day were rescued.
He said exhibits recovered in the Falgore Camp included  one AK- 47 rifle,  two fully loaded magazines , 250 rounds of live 7.62 mm ammunition, eight Bajaj Boxer motorcycles criminal masks and personal belongings.
