Plateau: Ex-Custom controller David joins APC, says party rooted at grassroots

A retired controller of Custom, Dimka Victor David, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC)  calling other politicians to join in Plateau state.

Mr. Dimka made the statement while fielding questions from journalists shortly after his registration at polling Unit 007 Kabwir Pada Ward in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau state.

He commended the party for opening its register for the grassroots to take charge, saying the process of being a member of any political party is to first of all get registered into its fold.

“Today forms my first day and first step into the APC,” he said.

On why he joined APC, Dimka said; “I have checked, studied the different manifestos, made researches of all the political parties existing in the country today, and I found that APC is the party to beat.

“APC has given this country, my Plateau state and  Kanke my Local Government, dividends of democracy, and so I made up my mind, that this couldn’t have come without likes mind in the party agreeing to come together and work and that is why I am here today.”

Mr. Dimka said his been man of the people made him to get down to his locality to get registered at from the grassroot.

“They know that there are things that I have done in the past, and that I will do better, I want to contribute to my local government, my state and my country,” he said.

On what next, Mr. Dimka said he is still consulting, “but the journey of hundred miles start with a step, this step I have just started.”

He commended Governor Simon Lalong, for delivering dividends of democracy through his legacy projects and other things for the good of the state.
