PGD students urge FG to cancel NTI programme over result delay


Some former students of the National Teachers Institute (NTI), Post Graduate Diploma course, Osogbo, Osun state, have appealed to the federal government to intervene in the continuous delay of result by the institute.


Speaking with our correspondent in Osogbo on Sunday, the students urged the government to cancel the programme if the institute can not run it perfectly.


The students, who claimed that they have finished the programme since 2017, wondered why result have not been released till now.


They explained that many of them have done the one year programme to get teaching appointment when they didn’t get job some years after they have graduated.


According to them, 2018 set have finished and 2019 set will soon finish with no hope on when they will get their results.


They expressed sadness over the delay in getting result after two years as they explained that many of them have lost opportunities because they couldn’t tender the result.


They appealed to the authority of National Teachers Institute, Kaduna, to look into the issue and find means of ensuring urgent release of results.
