Osun NURTW begs Adeleke to return parks to them

Osun state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has begged Governor Ademola Adeleke to return their parks to them for peaceful operation.

Speaking with Journalists in Osogbo, Friday, a chieftain of the union, Kazeem Oyewale, popularly known as ‘Asiri Eniba,’ urged the national body to intervene to ensure the return of the motor parks to the union.

While noting that members of the union are family men, Oyewale said the government should consider those who depend on them like wives, children, and family members.

He said the dissolution of the union has affected their families. Oyewale enjoined members to be more patient and peaceful, assuring that the government will return the parks to the union soonest.

He said, “We use this medium to thank Almighty God on behalf of Osun State Government. We want to plead with the government to please have mercy on our union.

“It’s been over a year since we operated last in Osun state. Everyone present today has a family to feed. The government should please forgive and forget in any way they think we offend them.

“We are seeking the support of our acting zonal chairman in Osun state because all the union members are suffering in the state. He should look into the Osun state situation because we’ve been suffering for over a year now,” Oyewale said.
