Ondo set to offset salaries, pensions

The Ondo state government is making arrangements to offset  all salary arrears of the state civil servants  and pensioners before the end of 2022, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, Ondo state Head of Service, has said.

He stated this in Ikare Akoko, his home town, weekend, adding that the state government is currently owing workers September and October 2022 salaries.

Ogundele reiterated that the Akeredolu-led administration was poised to deliver on all  promises as the governor is widely known for keeping his promises which earned him alias ‘Mr. Talk and Do.’

While reassuring the people that Governor Akeredolu is committed to completing all ongoing projects in Akoko and other areas in the state, he said all outstanding salary arrears of public servants and pensioners will be cleared before the end of the year.

He said, “Arakunrin Akeredolu is very committed not just to promise but to fulfilling what he promised. As you all know, he is Mr. Talk and do. So he has promised and I want to assure you that before this administration ends, you will see the fulfillment of the promise by the grace of God.

“As the Head of the Public Service of Ondo State, one glorious thing that I have as news for all public servants and pensioners is that by the end of this year, Ondo state will no longer be on the list of states owing salaries,” Ogundele stated.
