NYSC: Osun co-ordinator charges officials to imbibe team spirit


The NYSC coordinator, Osun state,  Mr Ayodele Adegoke, has called on camp officials to imbibe  team spirit as the 2021 Batch A orientation course kicks off  Wednesday, March 10.


According to a statement made available to Blueprint Tuesday by the Director-General, NYSC, Brig-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, degoke gave the charge at the maiden meeting with camp officials at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Tuesday.
The statement said the state coordinator appreciated the giant steps taken by the  General  Ibrahim in ensuring  that the orientation holds nationwide.

He reminded officials of the need to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols throughout the duration of the orientation, even as he enjoined them to model good examples for the 1100 prospective corps members deployed to the state and those redeployed from Lagos state.


Adegoke pronised a warn  welcome to prospective corps members to the state. He charged officials not to use corporal  punishment as a way of instilling discipline on camp, but  harped on the need to uphold integrity and commitment to duty. He therefore,  warned against extortion of corps members as the scheme has zero tolerance for corruption. 
Speaking at the meeting, the camp director, Mr Musa Abdulrasheed canvassed for maximum cooperation and support of all camp officials in order to achieve success success.


The Resident Officer, Mrs Jummai Adebola and other principal officers called on camp officials to instill discipline in the corps members by living an exemplary life  becausec  action speaks louder than words.


Prior to the meeting, all camp officials and camp marketers were made to undergo the mandatory COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic Test, and only those who tested negative were admitted to the camp.
