The League Management Company organizer  of the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League has disclosed that the second stanza will kick-off   on May 9 across the nation.

LMC Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar made the announcement on Wednesday on behalf of the league body.

“The second round of the #NPFL21 will start on May 9, 2021 with the exception of the Enyimba/Rangers outstanding fixture.

 “Date for the game will be announced in due course,” reads a tweet on the LMC Twitter handle.

Kwara United lead the NPFL halfway through the season with 36 points after 19 matches with Kano Pillars and Akwa United in second and third position respectively.

Four clubs are in the relegation zone – Warri Wolves, Katsina United, FC Ifeanyiubah and Adamawa United.
