NPFL: Biffo optimistic of positive result in Warri

Kwara United handler, Coach Abdullahi Biffo has expressed optimism in his team returning from Warri Wolves match with a better result, coupled with better performance.
Speaking to newsmen after a Christmas get-together for players and officials on Christmas day in Ilorin, the former Abia Warriors coach said that the take-over storm seems over, especially with the Week 10 victory over Rangers International of Enugu in Ilorin.

‘The match against Rangers International was our first match as Kwara United Football Club, and we hope to build on that result, starting with the away match against Warri Wolves’, Biffo averred.
The team will this Sunday, play away from home to Warri Wolves, before coming home to face Abia Warriors in Ilorin.
‘I am expecting good performance that will lead to having good result in Warri, and this is because we are fully prepared for that challenge’, he said.

Coach Biffo, who calls for patience and support, said that though the current position of the teams calls for concern, but not as bad as it was being projected, especially with a long way to go in the league.
‘We are 18th on the log, even though the points are close. We have 29 more matches to go, meaning that the league is a marathon. A good team should not start complaining from now. We will work hard against the challenges’
‘We have a young team, and that’s why we will be calling on our people to be patient, and continue to pray and support the team.

The soft spoken handler hinted on the move to sign more players before the close of the transfer window, to give the team more depth and edge, ahead of the crucial stages of the league.
