NOUN gets new principal officers

Authorities of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has appointed key principal officers to run the affairs of the  West Africa’s foremost Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution for the next five years.
A statement by NOUN’s Director of Media, Ibrahim Sheme, said the new appointees are Messrs. Felix Edoka, Ernest Odeigah and Dr. Gambo Saleh Adam as Registrar, Bursar and Librarian, respectively.
Edoka, a member of many professional bodies, including American Society of Public Administrators (ASPA), Association of University Administrators (AUA), has been appointed the new Registrar of the university.
Until his new appointment, he was the Deputy Registrar (Human Resources) of the university. His appointment takes effect from September 4, 2016.
The new Bursar of the university is Odeigah, a Fellow, Certified National Accountants (CNA) and member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation (CITN), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), among others.
Until this appointment, was the acting Bursar of the university. His appointment takes effect from September 17, 2016.
In the same way, Adam, has been appointed the new Librarian. He is a member of the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Library and Information Science (LIS)-Career Option, among others.
Until his appointment as librarian in NOUN, Adam was the Librarian, National Institute for Legislative Studies, Abuja, on secondment from University of Maiduguri. His appointment takes effect from October 2, 2016.
