Northern youth forum hails military on fight against insecurity

The Northern Youth Association of Nigeria (NYAN) over the weekend applauded the tireless effort of the Nigerian military in the efforts to free the country from the activities of insurgents and bandits terrorising Nigerians.

President of the association, Ambassador Godiya Adams Bogoro in a press statement issued to journalists in Bauchi on the outcome of the association’s annual review meeting in Abuja, said it had unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, for his commitment to the discharge of his duty of coordinating the operations of the Armed Forces.

Bogoro observed that since his assumption, General Musa has brought his wealth of experience in the battlefield to bear and noted that, his leadership had maintained good relationship with stakeholders in the Armed Forces, especially in formulating and implementing policies, and programmes towards the highest attainment of national security and operational competence of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

He added that, since he assumed office as CDS, the Nigerian military had been recording significant achievements in the fight against various security threats facing the country and highlighted some of the achievements to include reducing the impact of the insurgency, bandits, and IPOB activities across the country.

“We make bold to state that the CDS has been able to justify the confidence reposed on him by Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. After a critical evaluation and analysis of his effort in efficiently deploying the Nigerian Military against the insurgents, bandits, and the IPOB, we hereby pass a vote of confidence on the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa,” the statement said.
