Kwara state governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been praised for his inputs in the appointment of a renowned academic, Dr. Muhammed Ghali Alaaya as non-executive director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) .

A group of renowned grassroots politicians and mobilisers, who were local government councilors in 2017 in Kwara state, gave the commendation while reacting to the appointment of the university teacher by President Bola Tinubu.

The group under the leadership of Hon. Sikirullahi Abdulkareem Oladimeji (Rotella) in a statement made available to Blueprint in Ilorin Wednesday observed that the governor has continually rewarded those who contributed to the struggle for the emancipation of Kwara with various appointments into his cabinet.

“Dr. Muhammed is a renowned politician, teacher and mentor to the new generation and we could not but glorify the Almighty Allah for this appointment while appreciating His Excellency, the executive governor of Kwara state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for rewarding loyalty and competence with kindness.

“A leader, he always believes in youths, as evident in youth inclusion in his cabinet. This has spurred us all to greatness as we believe in His Excellency’s style of leadership as he continues to show his kind-heart to ensure everyone is duly rewarded.

“It is our prayer that Allah in his infinite mercy be the strength and guide of Dr Ghali Mohammed as he takes on this new path. Dr Mohammed has made us all proud on different fronts and hope that he brings all those meritorious qualities to bear in his new appointment,” the statement added.
