NIS hails Borno’s support to security agencies

Borno state Comptroller of Immigration, Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Alhaji SS Salihu, has expressed deep appreciation to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his relentless support to the Immigration Service and sister security agencies.

He expressed his gratitude when the Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar, paid a courtesy call on the Immigration Service office at the Federal Secretariat Complex, Maiduguri, on Monday 16 October, 2023.

The commissioner informed the state comptroller that the courtesy call had three objectives: to intimate the comptroller on the establishment of the Ministry of Information and Internal Security and domiciliation of security and allied matters in the new ministry; to reaffirm the Borno government’s continued support to the service; and to request for interagency collaboration with a view to strengthening security, peace-building and development in Borno state.

In response, Comptroller Salihu applauded Governor Zulum’s decision to establish the new ministry, and expressed the profound gratitude of the Nigerian Immigration Service over the constant gestures of support rendered by the Borno state government to the service.
