Year after year, Nigerians witness several empty promises from political parties and politicians. And when they are finally voted in, they forget their promises and instead sharpen their utensils in order to have a large share of the national cake.
For how long shall we be deceived with this stomach infrastructure scheme? We don’t consider the credibility of the aspirants before we vote them in. Should we blame an aspirant who took a loan in order to gain the votes of greedy voters? How do we expect them to pay back the loan if not by siphoning funds meant for projects?
Another election is approaching and we need to decide if this failure will continue or if we are going to consider our children’s future and do the right thing.
