Nigerian Institute of Management Honours Aliyu with Fellowship Award

In recognition of his exceptional leadership skills, extensive administrative experience, and remarkable contributions to the field of management, Controller of Corrections (CC) Salisu Mamman Aliyu was conferred the prestigious fellowship by the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) during the 2023 Awards, Fellows & Spouses Day Luncheon.

The event, which was held at the Muson Centre in Onikan, Lagos – Nigeria was themed “The Leadership Imperatives for all Managers in a Rapidly Changing World.”

CC Salisu Mamman Aliyu currently serving as the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the Controller Generals of Corrections at the Nigerian Correctional Service National Headquarters in Abuja.

His remarkable career trajectory and notable accomplishments have earned him this esteemed recognition. He is a distinguished senior security professional who has exhibited exemplary leadership qualities.

The conferment of the fellowship award was the highlight of the event, where distinguished professionals from various sectors gathered today to celebrate excellence in management and leadership. CC Salisu’s track record as a dedicated and visionary leader made him a deserving recipient of this esteemed honour.

CC Salisu’s career is marked by a diverse range of roles and achievements. He has served as a Member of the Governing Board of the National Institute for Sports (NIS) and currently a Non-Executive Director of Borstal Micro-Finance Bank Kaduna. His educational background showcases his commitment to continuous learning and personal development. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Defence Studies (MIADS) from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna, acquired in 2015. Additionally, he completed a Master’s Degree in Banking/Finance (MBF) at Bayero University in Kano in 2006.

CC Salisu’s educational journey reflects his dedication to knowledge acquisition. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical and Health Education (B.Sc Ed.) from Bayero University in Kano, and his educational pursuits also include a Higher Professional Diploma in Computer Studies from the same institution.

His professional growth began with a National Certificate in Education (NCE) in PHE from the College of Education in Sokoto in 1994, followed by a Higher Elementary (Grade 2) Teachers’ Certificate from the College of Arts and Arabic Studies in Sokoto.

CC Salisu’s impressive achievements extend to his participation in various military and civil courses, conferences, and workshops, where he consistently demonstrated his commitment to excellence.

 Notably, he completed his Senior Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji (AFCSC), further showcasing his devotion to professional development.

The Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) recognized CC Salisu Mamman Aliyu’s exceptional accomplishments, leadership acumen, and commitment to lifelong learning with the conferment of the fellowship award, solidifying his place among esteemed management professionals in Nigeria.
