Nigerian cleric’s humility, care for humanity unequalled – Youth chair

The national chairman of the South South Youth Forum, Samson Akan has described religious leaders in Nigeria as men enriched with God-given humility and care for humanity. 

Speaking at the presentation of Ambassador of Christ Award to Apostle Theophilius Ebonyi of Faith on the Rock Ministry in Nasarawa state, Akan said the support and care for humanity by the clerics  despite other challenges was unequalled and unprecedented which has earned the founder of Faith on the Rock Ministry the Ambassadorial award.

The South-south national youth chairman said, “I wonder the kind of humility, concern for humanity God has bestowed on Apostle Ebonyi and some other men of God for the welfare of the needy has become their live style,” Akan stated.

Akan, who read the citation of the clergy observed that Apostle Ebonyi has served not just God who created and endowed him with human face, but the care for the needy across the divide with everything that he has.

“I am challenging other religious leaders to imbibe in them the spirit of humility, generosity and concerns for the less privileged found in the life of Apostle Ebonyi in order to give hope to the needy and the vulnerable ones in the society”.

He said the emergence of Apostle Ebonyi as the winner of the award is a recognition of his effort in improving on the basic needs and welfare of the less privileged adding that  the clerics has achieved so much by impacting and changing the life style of most Nigerians.

Receiving the award, the clergy, Apostle Ebonyi described the award as treasure and most cherished recognition in his life time.
