Niger declares 1 week special prayers, fasting for Buhari

The Niger state government has  called for  one week fasting and prayers fasting for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is on medical leave.
A statement issued yesterday in Minna by the state Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism  Mr. Jonathan  Tsado Vatsa, said that although indication showed that the President was doing well in his vacation, there was, however, the need for prayers for him as the father of the nation.

“In view of this, it is imperative for all the people of Niger state to endeavour to pray  and fast specially for the President’s sustained good health and success in his bid to take Nigeria through the path of greatness.

“As a government, we are praying and we urge all the people of Niger state to use the next one week starting today and ending on the 5th  of march 2017 to pray for President Buhari’s good health and the health of all  as he leads the nation through the path of greatness”.
He said that prayers were required from the generality of the people of the state, irrespective of their  religious or ethnic affiliation for Buhari because “his success is for all Nigerians as he has dedicated himself to the service of humanity and with fear of God”, he stated.
