‘New NA F facility ‘ll provide service delivery’ willprofessionalism-NAF Chief

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar has said that the current emphasis on massive infrastructural development in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is geared towards promoting professionalism and service delivery.
Speaking during commissioning of project in Kano, the NAF boss said the current focus to reposition the NAF into a highly professional and disciplined force is hinged on training, equipment and welfare.

He said NAF under his administration would not relent on its effort to give the best to the personnel because they are the most important asset.
The Guest of Honour at the Event, Air Vice Marshal Mukhtar Muhammed (retired), applauded the effort of NAF leadership to enhance the welfare of personnel and their service to the nation.
While noting that the NAF has continued to make giant strides even in the face of scarce resources, the retired NAF senior officer lauded the Service for its spirited effort at combating insurgency in the Northeast and emerging militancy in the South-South.

The construction of the new facilities at NAF’s base in Kano and River states was part of the commitment of the NAF leadership to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency of the staff, NAF’s Director Public Relations and Information, Grp. Capt. Ayodele Famuyiwa said, in a statement.
He added that the new accommodation and sporting facilities were provided to carter for the general welfare and physical fitness needs of the personnel and their dependents.
Grp. Capt.  Famiyiwa said the new blocks of furnished residential accommodation commissioned in Kano are for student pilots, single and married officers, as well as Non-Commissioned Officers (Corporal and below), while the new fitness centre in Port Harcourt to help the personnel keep fit for duty.
