NECO releases Nov/ Dec 2022 SSCE external results

The National Exterminations Council (NECO) Thursday released the results of the Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (SSCE) conducted between November and December, 2022.

Announcing the results, Registrar of the Council, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, said 60,133 candidates registered for the examinations, with 31,392 males, representing 53.04 per cent, and 28,241 females, representing 46.96 per cent.

He said 33,914 candidates, representing 57, 36 per cent had credit in English and Mathematics.

Wushishi said out of 58,012 that sat for English, 44,162, representing 76.13 per cent got credit and above.

He said 57,700 candidates sat for Mathematics, out of which 43,096, representing 74.69 per cent had credit and above.

He said 46, 825 candidates, representing 79.20 per cent, got five credits, irrespective of English and Mathematics.

He added that 11,419 candidates were booked for various offenses, as against 4,454 in 2021, showing a sharp rise in the number of malpractices cases.
