NB Plc donates medical equipment to healthcare centre

The Nigerian Breweries Plc, under its Corporate Social Responsibility activities, has donated one block of medical ward, toilets and several hospital equipment for the Primary Health Care center in Makera, Kaduna South local government area.
Speaking at the event, the Brewery Manager, Mr. Bolu Obawole, said: “In line with our company’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy of winning with Nigeria, we maintain strategic plans for communities within the area that we operate, thereby enhancing the quality of life of these communities.

“The entire Makera community is very dear to us, being our host community in which we have operated our business smoothly in the past 54 years. So, we should reciprocate the gesture, by identifying with the cause of the well-being of our good host community”.
Also speaking, the representative of the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Neyu Iliyasu, who is the director, Primary Health Care in Kaduna South local government, lauded the initiative of Nigerian Breweries Plc, saying it had come at a time hospital was actually in high need of another medical ward.
Iliyasu who recounted how the PHC had suffered in the past for want of another medical ward appealed that more of medical intervention by the company be carried out to boost maternal health.
