Nasarawa CP seeks security agencies’ partnership

Nasarawa state Police Commissioner, Yahaya Bello, has called for collaborative effort among security agencies in the state, to secure the lives and property of the citizens.
He made the call yesterday in Lafia at a three day workshop with the theme; “Management and Administrative Skills and Security Strategies,” for senior management staff of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
He said lack of proper coordination and collaboration among security agencies were among the major hiccups in the service.
He posited that security agencies failed “because we are not in relationship with each other.” Yahaya also advocated the need for security agencies to hold regular meetings to discuss security challenges facing the country to avert challenges within themselves arising from interagency conflict as a result of rivalry, unnecessary competition, and skirmish among other factors.
While declaring the workshop open, the commandant, Nigerian Security NSCDC, Nasarawa state command, Mahmoud Fari, said the Police played vital role in ensuring sustainable peace and security of lives and property of the citizenry.
He, therefore, re-affirmed his command’s commitment in partnering with the police for a better service delivery in the state
