Monguno, Kyari feud: APC chieftain appeals for peace

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Garus Gololo, has appealed to the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno and the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari to settle their difference in the interest of the country.

Gololo made the call while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, saying both men who are from Borno state ought to work together for the success of the country, no matter their differences and not to wash their dirty linen in the public.

He said his voice on the ongoing feud is to foster peace in order to encourage President Muhammadu Buhari to focus on the Next Level agenda, being threatened by insurgency and other security challenges across the country.

“I am one of the oldest members of the APC, metamorphosing from APP to ANPP, CPC and to APC. I have not achieved anything personal since the emergence of
President Buhari but those that entered the party through the back door are the
ones benefiting. Yet instead of them to work for the benefit of
Nigerians, they are busy challenging one another.

“To me I strongly believe that it is not in the position of a civilian to directives
to a military officer in that capacity and it will never happen. So, for Kyari to give
service chiefs directive will cause problem. Let them sort themselves out quickly for the good of this country,” Gololo said.
