The livewire of any organization or society, to some extent, depends solely on qualitative and pragmatic leadership. In all ramifications, it is pertinent to build men of integrity, honesty, detribalization, men that are
well-built and blessed with indomitable intellectual prowess with determination and doggedness to transform the lives of the society around them and across borders devoid of tribe, ethnicity, religion, or
political affiliations. I am talking about astute men like Chief Honorable Richard Mnenga, a member, representing North Central on the board of the Universal Basic Education Commission.
With all sincerity of purpose, Richard Mnenga is using his position and connections both at the national and international levels to positively transform his people and others around him. That is why many political and public affairs analysts that are conversant with his outstanding leadership qualities, equate him the likes of Martin Luther King Jnr, Fidel Castro, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, etc. These great men excellently used their lives, resources and influence to better the lots of their people without discrimination, sentiment and primodial motives.
Come to think of it, a good social and public critic may want to know why some analysts feel Chief Hon. Mnenga is redefining leadership through his current position as a member of the UBEC board, representing
North Central. Without mincing words, I believe anyone who feels that Mnenga is redefining eadership may be placing their observation or opinion on his practical, workable and earth-shaking dreams and visions which are quite visible in his way of life via human and infrastructural transformation across all human endeavours and especially in Benue state
where he is aspiring to be the governor come 2023.
In the same vein, some political analysts and pundits may want to know why many are singing praises of him and as well as clamouring for him to even take a shot at the seat of the executive governor of Benue state 2023.
The answer cannot be far-fetched because Mnenga is a thorough bred and focused leader blessed with the ability to perform the designed goals and giving room for team work in order to achieve desired results.
On the other hand, some political pundits or leadership experts that may not be familiar with the highly invaluable and essential leadership qualities of Honourable Mnenga, whom by all standards as a member, representing North Central at the board of UBEC), is deploying his skills and knowledge as well as his useful links to positively transform those around him and especially the people of Benue state both humanly and infrastructure wise, may feel he doesn’t portray the kind of positive confession so many people are expressing. However, the best way to do critical analysis of Chief Mnenga is to know him, and to know him, is to love him because, he is an epitome of love, kindness, humility, honesty, integrity, generosity, fearlessness, bluntness, etc.
However, one cannot rule out the negative perception some people may have about the honourable because, there’s no human being that doesn’t have a negative side.
Above and beyond, every thorough bred leader as per Chief Richard Mnenga, whom by every ticking of the clock is using his wealth of knowledge and experience to affect lives positively devoid of ethno-religious or
affiliations, to some extent must be constantly scrutinized by some public affairs analysts in order to bring out the best in him. It is indeed very important for every leader to do their best to acquire the great leadership skills they are displaying. And that’s exactly what Richard Mnenga is doing across the 23 local government areas of Benue state by taking projects to the interior part of the state without consideration of whether where those projects are sited are his place of origin or not.
Great leaders like Nelson Mandela, Fidel Castro, Mahatma Ghandhi, etc with whom close allies of Chief Richard Mnenga liken him to, always exhibit certain extra-ordinary qualities that convinced millions of their followers to even lay down their lives for them. I am talking about leadership qualities
they doggedly exhibited even when they have the golden opportunity to live in affluence to the detriment of their massive followers; qualities that even make some of their fans globally to see them as the much expected messiah. Without any iota of doubt, Mnenga, the Benue state gubernatorial hopeful come 2023, possesses such qualities.
He is an ebullient leader that’s ready to go to any length to make positive impacts on the lives of those around him and especially the good people of Benue state. And, as a renowned journalist, youth and human right activist with high integrity, I see those qualities of his as a great asset for the people of Benue state. I mean qualities that have been so well exhibited by Mnenga, making many media organisations, especially the electronic media, to have him as their guest almost on daily basis both locally, nationally and internationally.
Chief Mnenga, as painstakingly scrutinised but political juggernaut, leadership experts and public affairs analysts, believes he is ebullient and blessed with the ability to inspire those around him especially the youths that are seen as the future of any society. Many political observers have expressed faith in such qualities that by electing him to govern a state like Benue, no doubt, will be one of the best decisions by the state’s electorate as the 2023 election draws closer. Mnenga also has a good leadership quality in the area of delegating assignment to appropriate and safe hands.
He has clarity of visions and goals. He is a committed leader who will not fold his hands to expect excellent performance from his lieutenants but will rather step out of his comfort zone to achieve desired result when elected as the governor of Benue state come 2023. He also has the
ability to communicate positively with his people and beyond.
His confidence in himself and his mission shall also be a great asset for his people and the entire Nigeria. Mnenga is very courageous having encountered a lot of life threatening challenges, yet stands gallant till date to ensure that he achieves the best for his people.
He is renowned for his creativity, decisiveness, honesty, humility, intuition, passion, positive attitude, and a good sense of humour. These qualities will be deployed to put Benue state among the developed state when he is elected the governor of the state come 2023. Already, he is demonstrating these astute leadership qualities in his current national assignment at UBEC. And we hope to see more of it as he gets set to become the next governor of Benue state in 2023.
