Miyetti Allah seeks Al-Makura’s support on vaccines

National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has called on Nasarawa state Governor, Tanko Umar Al-Makura, to support the Fulani pastoralists in the state with vaccines that would help in protecting the cows from any form of strange diseases.
Bodejo made the call yesterday at the Maliya cattle market, Tudun Wada, Karu local government area of Nasarawa state, during the inauguration of new executive council members of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Karu and Karshi branches.
“The Fulani in Nasarawa state are witnessing a strange disease that is affecting their cattle and I have tried my best possible to send my zonal chairman, Alhaji Gidado Idris Bebeji, to Vom in Plateau state, to liaise with a doctor in order to find solution this strange disease that has killed over 1, 000 of their cattle.
“I did not stop there alone, am also calling on Governor Al-Makura to use his good office to support the Fulani in finding solution by getting a vaccine that would end the diseases,” he said, adding that “if the Fulani lose all their cattle as a result of this strange illness, how will they survive.” According to him, “most of them depend on these cattle for their daily bread; some did not go to school or learn any trade; so, if we allow such disease to consume their cattle, then we are finished.”
