Tinubu’s one year in office: Group calls for fervent national prayer

A nationally registered prayer group, comprising Muslims and Christians, has called for prayers and God’s guidance for the greater success of the President Ahmed Bola Tinubu administration in his onerous task of Progressive Nigeria and nation building as the Renewed Hope administration marks first year in office on May 29, 2024.

Interestingly, the renowned group met with the Senior Special Assistant (SSA),to the President on Print Media, Mallam Abdulazeez Abdulazeez, holding brief for National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

The essence of the strategic meeting is aimed at organising special prayer for peace, stability for progressive Nigeria as well as reaching out for God’s guidance for President Tinubu and his team, from retrogressive elements whose penchant is always to set the hand of the clock backward despite great and monumental feats achieved by the visionary and dynamic leadership of Jagaban within just one year of coming to power.

However, in the course of the interface, set of the Holy Quran was presented to the National Security Adviser, Ribadu, by Alhaji Sanusi Babban Takko (Barayan Bauchi) who happens to be the Chairman Strategic Committee of the group. The Director General of the group, Chief S.B Afolorunnikan, presented a copy of the Bible to Ribadu. The group’s Secretary Auwal Yakkassai presented the Holy Quran to the senior special assistant to the president on print media.

Mrs Grace, a strong member of the group, presented the Bible too as a way of using prayer to solve some challenges the country is passing through.

The group appealed for moral support from the NSA on the forthcoming National Prayers, which will take place at the National Mosque as well as at the Christian Centre in Abuja for a period of one week.

In his response, the representative of the NSA promised to deliver the group’s request to Ribadu with the hope of reporting back to the group.

Present at the meeting were: Mallam Ibrahim Khalifa, the Chief Imam of Dantata Mosque Abuja, Mallam Mahadi member National Mosque, Hon Ibrahim Marmara, Dr Musa Abubakar Usman as well as Pastor Joseph Dihis.
