Missing lecturer: FUD offers financial support to victim’s family

Following the abduction of Malam Abubakar Idriss, a lecturer with the Federal University Dutsinma(FUD) On 2nd,August, 2019 at his Kaduna residence, the Management of the University has offered a financial support to the victim’ family to  ameliorate  their predicament.

In a press statement in Kano, the University’s management expressed deep concern about the gruelling predicament of the lecturer whose disappearance three months ago worsen the psychological trauma  of his family which the University’s authorities were making consistent effort aimed at calling on security agencies to hasten the search for the missing lecturer.

According to the University’s management,  what is most worrisome to them was the continued incarceration of.  Malam Abubakar Idriss by his captors, who demanded no Ransome or   give a call to his family as they normally do, adding that since  his disappearance three months ago, nothing have been heard about him, despite the effort they made in alerting security agencies and writing a letter to governor Aminu Bello Masari over the disturbing incident.

The University’s management also described as inhuman and a gross violation of the rights of the  abducted lecturer, who had committed no offence to warrant such  a barbaric act in the hands of those who have no justification to act in such a treacherous manner affirming that they have assured the national leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) that they would remain relentless in  putting heads together with security agencies until the missing lecturer is rescued.
