Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the adequate arrangement put in p lace for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in preparation for the forthcoming FCT Area Councils election.

He gave the commendation while visiting the CVR centres in Garki and Wuse wards of the territory on Saturday.
The minister, who also addressed the crowd waiting for their registration at the centres visited, appealed to them to be patient while assuring them that every one of them would be attended to.
Bello lauded the effective way INEC has conducted the exercise but appealed for extension of the registration period due to the high turnout of prospective voters seen in all the centres visited.

He was received and briefed by the Electoral Officer of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Shittu Ahmed Tata, who assured him that INEC was on top of the situation and that all the complaints would be passed to the management.
Meanwhile, the minister and his entourage witnessed the deployment of several new data capture machines as well as printers to the field by INEC officials in their office.
Some officials of the FCT Administration (FCTA), including the Acting Secretary of the Area Councils Services Secretariat, Hajiya Amina Abubakar, accompanied the minister on the visit.
