Membership registration, revalidation exercise’ll prepare APC for 2023 – Chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Oyo state, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke Thursday, said  the party’s ongoing registration and revalidation exercise will enhance its planning and projections for the 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the revalidation of his membership of the party at his polling unit, Oke Ado High School of Ward 10, Ibadan South West LGA of Oyo, the APC Senatorial hopeful declared the excercise will no doubt afford APC accurate data useful for analysis during the coming general elections.

The Ajia Balogun Olubadan noted that the overall objective of the exercise is to grow and strengthen the party from the grassroots, saying, .

“This registration and revalidation exercise will afford our party to increase membership.”

“Few years back when we did last registration some youths have not attained voting age, but now have attain voting age, this exercise will afford them, we need to capture them, youths are many in this country that have become adults now. It would also afford the party to get accurate data that would be useful for analysis during the coming elections. To win elections and govern, an organized and responsible party must consciously grow its base with accurate data”, he said

The APC Chieftain then urged the party’s stakeholders in and across Oyo state to give the necessary support and cooperation towards ensuring  the success of the membership registration and revalidation exercise.

“It is, therefore, necessary and important for all our leaders and stakeholders to give support to this process by mobilizing our people to participate in it. We owe the Membership Registration Committee, and of course our national leadership, this solemn duty. Their success is our collective success.”

He said, ”let us come together; mobilize our people to register as members of our party and strengthen the party thereby. It is the right thing to do”, adding,” I am therefore, calling on all the leaders and stakeholders of the APC to ensure full mobilisation, sensitization and participation of their people and ensure its success in their various catchment areas and the entire state at large”.
