Man falls into domestic well, dies 

Kwara state fire service Monday recovered the lifeless body of a 25-year-old man identified as Banji Adebayo who fell intoa domestic well while trying to fetch water.

The incident occurred around 5: 30am in Omu- Aran, Irepdun local government area of Kwara state. 

A statement by head, Media and Publicity of Kwara state fire service, Hassaan Adekunle, siad the man fell into a domestic well when one of his legs slipped while trying to fetch water.

The statement reads in part: “A 25-year-old man called Banji Adebayo at Ile-Nla in Omu-Aran, Irepodun local government area of Kwara state, fell into a domestic well and died.

“The incident took place in the early hours of today, at about 5:30hrs in Omu-Aran, Kwara state.

“However, firemen were able to recover the dead body from the well and later handed it over to one Alhaji Abdulkareem, a family member of the deceased, in the presence of the Nigerian police officers.”

The report said the victim went to fetch water at the well and in the process of fetching water, one of his legs slipped and he fell into the well.
