Benue: Alia donates 6 SUVs to judges 


Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue state has donated six Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to the Benue State Judiciary.


The SUVs, according to Governor Alia, is part of the resolves of his administration to ensure the welfare and effective service delivery of the judiciary in the state.


The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, Fidelis Bemsen Mnyim, who presented the vehicles on behalf of the governor, commended the judiciary for its services, urging the state’s judicial officers to do more to ensure that law and order are maintained in the state.


He requested the judiciary to put the vehicles to good use for the benefit of the state, adding that four of the cars are for the Benue state High Court Judges while two of them would be for the Judges of the Customary Court of Appeal, Benue state.


Recall that during the just concluded National Judicial Review Summit, which was put together by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, he had commended the Benue state governor for granting autonomy to the state judiciary, urging other state governors to emulate Governor Alia.
