Like Ronaldo, Bellingham scores historic Champions League goal for Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham is the fourth player to score for Real Madrid on both his La Liga and Champions League debut, matching Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bellingham’s goal against Union Berlin, in the 94th minute, gave Real a 1-0 win over the Bundesliga side in their opening Champions League group game. He also scored on his La Liga debut against Athletic Club, and has since gone on to score twice against Almeria, and once each against Celta Vigo and Getafe.

Per OptaJose, the England midfielder is only the fourth man to achieve such a feat for Real. Ronaldo did the same, as did both Isco and Asensio. Of course, the current Al-Nassr star went on to have quite the career for the Spanish club, although Isco and Asensio now play for Real Betis and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.

Bellingham has now scored six goals in six games for Real Madrid. He managed 24 goals in 132 games for Borussia Dortmund, and just four in 44 games for Birmingham. The midfielder also has two England goals to his name.

Real Madrid return to La Liga action in a huge derby against Atletico this weekend.
