The Kwara state contingent to the 37th National Qur’an Recitation Competition holding in Gusau, Zamfara state have been Airlifted to Gusau.
In his farewell message before the contingent departed Ilorin, the chairman, Kwara state committee on National Qur’an Recitation Competition, Alhaji Shehu AbdulGafar, praised the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his commitment to moral and religious education of Kwaran youth.
AbdulGafar said the encouragement and support received from the governor had always made the participation of the state in the annual event possible.
He added that all the participants had to be airlifted for this year and last year’s competition due to security challenges facing the country.
