The death has occurred of the mother of the Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, Hajiya A’isha, popularly known as Hajiya Ta-Mashi.
Hajiya A’isha, aged 91 years, died in the early hours of Sunday, living behind four children and 36 grand children.
The funeral prayer for the deceased was conducted at the GRA Katsina Juma’at mosque.
Those who attended the funeral prayer and the burial rites included the state governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq, DG NIMET, Professor Sani Abubakar Mashi, Commissioner of Water Resources, Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua, other members of the state executive council and top government officials.
In a statement by Governor Masari through his spokesman, Alhaji Abdu Labaran Malumfashi, the governor described the death of Hajiya A’isha as a great loss to her family and the state.
He prayed Allah to forgive her sins and grant her Aljanna Firdausi and for the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
