Jonathan approves governing boards for FAAN, others

Untitled-21President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday approved the appointment of the chairmen and members of the governing boards of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (NAPTIP), Federal College of Chemical and Leather Technology Zaria, National Research Institute for Chemical Technology Zaria and the National Library of Nigeria.

Others are National Geological Surveys Agency, Citizen and Leadership Training Centre, Federal College of Education Eha-Amufu, Federal School of Dental Technology and Therapy, Sheda Science and Technology Complex, Nomadic Education Commission.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.

According to the statement, the president approved the appointment of Dr. Daniel Kure as chairman of the governing board of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria while Onuora Chinwe Leticia, Ibrahim Bamalli, Ngozi Lavender E., Captain Shafi’i Salisu Baba, Alhaji Habu Muazu and Mr. Phillip Aivoji would serve as members.
Taiwo Adeife was appointed as the chairman of the governing board of National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons, and Mrs. Evelyn Hosa Okunbo, Ambassador Godson Echegie, Gambo Gujungu, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, Hajiya Rabi Muntari Muhammed and Adi Elekwachi as members.

The governing board of the Federal College of Chemical and Leather Technology Zaria would be chaired by Dr. Godwin Ajakpo with Kemi Iyatum, Alhaji Nuhu Sani Ibrahim, Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed and Alhaji Ahmed Abbas Isa as members.
Mr. Edward Akangbou was appointed as the chairman of the governing board of National Research Institute for Chemical Technology Zaria while members are Alhaji Umar Dange, Baba Gana Tijjani Dikwa, Chief Dom Uzonwuru and Effiong Oqoung.

The president also approved the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Haruna Ningi as chairman of the governing board of National Library of Nigeria while Inye Marshall Harry Jnr., Mr. Kalabari Odimiri, Madaki Hussaini Abdullahi, Obafemi Oye, Salisu Suleiman, Tijjani Kumalia, Usman Idris Mawogi, Mrs Atinuke Akinwale, Chief Innocent Anoliefo, Dr. Felicia Etim and Mr. Obi Michael would serve as members.

Jonathan also appointed Chief Innocent C. Maduagwu, Mr. Adebisi Omoyeni, Dr. Mahmud Abdulrahman Enagi, and Josephine O. Ugochukwu as the chairmen of the governing boards of National Geological Surveys Agency, Citizen and Leadership Training Centre, College of Education Eha-Amufu, Federal School of Dental Technology and Therapy, respectively.
